Enhanced Public Health Protections

We encourage everyone who is healthy and feels safe, to visit the Brookhaven Farmers Market in order to buy healthy, local food from our farmers, and small businesses.  

We ask that you follow these guidelines:

• Mask usage is your personal preference.

• A hand washing station is available at the market information booth.

• Maintain at least an arm’s length distance between other shoppers and vendors, especially while you are waiting in line.

• Many of our vendors use Square Card readers and have turned off the signature requirement so you will not be touching their phones. 

• Anyone who is feeling unwell in any way should stay home.

• Any shopper who is at a higher risk with underlying health conditions, should stay home.

• Patience, kindness, and common sense can keep us all safe and healthy!

DOG POLICY

When the weather is not too hot, well behaved dogs are welcome.

1.    Owners are responsible and liable for their dogs. Dogs must be under control, on a short, non-expandable leash, and by the (adult) owner’s side at all times.

2.    Dogs must be kept away from produce, plants, food products, and product displays. Items damaged by pets must be purchased by the owner.

3.    Dogs must be socialized with other dogs and children. Barking and growling is not allowed. Aggressive dogs are not welcome.

4.    Owners should be considerate of vendors and other guests – not everyone enjoys dogs.

5.    Dog owners must clean up after their pet.

Management will request owners remove dogs from the market if the above rules are violated. Thank you for helping to keep our market safe for everyone.
